The vast Search and Rescue capacity in the United Kingdom is complemented by overlapping operational capacities which are inter-stitched in a network of regional and specialist teams. 

Many are dedicate unpaid volunteers  and all are very committed to the work they do in the pursuit of saving lives and helping people.

Here we will list UK based teams and their parent bodies.

Mountain Rescue

The majority of Mountain  Rescue  representative  bodies:

The United Kingdom's Governing Body for Lowland Search and Rescue and represents its national member teams:

representative body for volunteer underground rescue  organisations  in  the  UK

There are other specialist teams who specialise in the use of certain vehicle types to perform Search and Rescue

Medical Response

There are other specialist teams who specialise in various forms of Medical Emergency Response and Pre-Hospital Care.

Additionally

There are other specialist teams and resources such as Medical Teams, Helicopter SAR Teams and their coordination, the use of technical search, The Use of Drones (RPAS / UAVs).
